Jackson Publick

Pen and burshpen on paper.

The Venture Brothers is probably the only show that I ever bothered to keep up with besides Samurai Jack. I use a past tense because my TV watching is nil these days, but I still keep an eye on Jackson Publick's announcements about the show at his livejournal.

Why?

Because I admire both creators of the series. Truly, they are renaissance men, producing a show so clever and so well done with most of the creative work load falling on their own shoulders. My hats off to them for their dedicaton and continued efforts, not to mention their exceptional talents as artists and writers.

Although Doc Hammer has a special place in my heart (and not just because he was once 1/2 of the brother-sister duo of Mors Syphilitica), Jackson Publick won my favoritism with his voice talents.

I doodled this tribute to him many moon before I met the both of them at the 2008 Dragon*Con panel. Not only did I ask them a question, but I gave Jackson Publick this very picture in person (oh goodness, oh my, I touched him).

You can see footage of my gobbledigooking star-struck grin here and here, graciously uploaded by a convention buddy. Thank you, Jeremy.

I also attached their signatures below. Because it's as cool as that 8 x 10 (bent) glossy photo of Jim Carrey that I got autographed, too.
