Nowoodstock 2011

Acrylic on plywood.

Nowoodstock is a bluegrass music festival that happens every summer in Ten Sleep, Wyoming.

For 2011, I painted these two pieces; one throughout the day on Friday, and the other on stage with my pal Jalan Crossland while he performed Saturday night. Judging by the hurried quality of one over the other, I think you can tell which one is which.

You can view footage at the following links:

"Mama was a Roughneck"
"Race to Disaster"
"Little Sparrow"
"Cluck ol' Hen"

I also did some free face painting for the kids in-between. There were skull faces and animals and bugs and zombies running around and wreaking havoc. It was glorious!

Both paintings sold the next day to a kindly fellow who displays these in his music room. Pretty rad!
