celebrating the music of Alcest ~ described as music from another world ~ and this painting developed from conversations around how souls come into this world through the w()mb portal; abstract depictions of the serpentine journey, balancing dualities, and the mapping of other dimensions in parallel to the one we know here. this creation arrived as a pre-show impulse in support of Alcest’s 2025 North American tour where i got to witness their spellbinding magic in lawrence, kansas at the granada theater.
